In the article Why I write by Joan Didion, she distinguishes her points and the idea's behind her writing. Some examples of her writing style's are about her deficient or un-abstract thoughts, sentence structures, imagery, and gathering of ones thoughts. One idea in particular stood out and this was "shimmering" pictures. Didion related these shimmering photos to our grammar and arrangement of words on a paper. These photos dictate the life, color, and action of your writing piece and forge the value of your paper.
Personally, if was given the choice to choose my own title it would be "Why I don't write". The reasons why is quite simple really. Every person's schedule is different. As a full time college student, having a job and maintaining my physical activity, I do not deliberately make time for writing because I do not manage my time in that manner. If texting were to count, myself, along with 99% of the world maybe would have written more than one of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" books... because we all know how thick they are. When I write, it is strictly for school purposes or of course explaining in paragraph form, proper indentation, and sometimes with a MLA format the reasons why I came home from a party at 3am and woke everyone from their peaceful sleep. Writing has been changing in so many ways because of the evolution of technology Computers are the future and have been since the first time one has been plugged in. The sooner we know it, no one is even going to know how to write in script form anymore! Maybe that's an exaggeration, but technology is cool, resourceful and deathly scary.
